I have finally used the coupon code MC51 from Mastercard to get free international shipping from Gilt, a private shopping club (flash sale site, sample sale site, private sale site). The best thing about my purchase is that I ordered a pretty heavy KitchenAid mixer. The coupon allowed me to ship it to Russia for FREE saving $175.

The mixer does require me to use a power converter. But this is not a big deal considering the fact that it costs $1000 USD in Russia and it costed me only $281.79 when purchased on Gilt. The only problem is that Food Grinder attachments are no longer in stock on Gilt. So hurry up until the mixers are in stock.

eBay allows US sellers to ship internationally via Global Shipping Program (through a US parcel processing facility)

US eBay sellers now can ship their items located in the USA internationally via Global Shipping Program. All they need to do is to ship the item to a US shipping center (US parcel processing facility). International shipping experts there manage the international shipping and customs process, and send the item to the international buyer.

For a listing to be eligible for the Global Shipping Program:

• The item must be physically located in the US.
• The item must be listed for sale on eBay.com.
• The package must not weigh more than 66 lbs.
• The package must not exceed 66 inches in length.
• The package must not exceed the maximum dimensions of 118 inches.
• Dimensions = length + 2 * (width + height). Length is the packages longest side.

How to purchase a mountain bicycle (MTB) or a hybrid bike in Germany or the UK and ship it to Russia or any other country

When I started purchasing stuff in the USA and China, one of my first ideas was to buy a mountain bicycle (MTB) or a hybrid bike. I really liked the prices in the USA on web-sites like bikesdirect.com. The problem is that the package with the bike is oversized, so it is not possible to ship it by USPS Express Mail or USPS Priority Mail. Some bikes on eBay can be sent anywhere in the world, but the shipping rates are usually outrageous. I was not willing to buy a bicycle in China, because of the potential problems with the quality of Chinese products. The next obvious step for me was to search in Europe. Luckily there are a couple of shops there that ship anywhere in the world including Russia. And they exclude VAT when shipping outside the European Union.

• Billing can be more complicated.
